From the recording You Could Be Free
This song is an old friend to me now, first recorded for my debut album The Boy & The Mountain back in 2020, inspired by a fireside conversation at a festival with someone who took the big step and left the old ways that didn't fit her behind, for a new life in the wild.
I wanted to document how this songs' sounds now, how it has changed and grown into itself over the years. It felt fitting to bring the song full circle for this record.
