Only 100 seats. The Norman Reed Hall seats around 100 people for this concert — and that is not a limitation. It is the point. JP Worsfold performs the second night of his November run in one of the most intimate settings of the tour. Voice, guitar, songs and stories. The room holds the audience close enough to hear the music breathe, close enough to feel the silence between the notes. The performances move between stillness and release. Nothing unnecessary sits between the audience and the material.
About the artist
JP Worsfold is an independent singer-songwriter with three albums behind him and a decade spent writing, performing and putting on events throughout the north of England.
Two songs from his album Wild Returning have featured in BBC television drama productions. He has performed a session for BBC Radio Lancashire, received praise from celebrated author Robert Macfarlane, and shared stages with The Unthanks, Niall John Smith, Frankie Archer and Adam Holmes.
His work draws from lived experience — love, loss, grief, recovery, change, and the slow process of finding your way through. Three records in, the artistic direction is moving towards simplicity. Less between the listener and the song. Less production. Less noise. More meaning.
